The Challenge

The primary challenge is distilling complex technical data (thermodynamics for heaters, equipment compatibility) into simple, user-friendly interfaces that non-technical users can trust. Additionally, these tools must integrate seamlessly with legacy enterprise systems while maintaining a modern, responsive frontend.

The Solution

I developed a suite of modular digital tools using a component-driven architecture. For the Heat & Chill Calculator, I created a step-by-step wizard interface that simplifies input complexity. For the Literature Search, I redesigned the UX to reduce search friction, implementing real-time filtering that significantly reduced customer support inquiries.

Detailed Description

As a Web Developer and Designer at Hayward Holdings, I bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and intuitive user experience. I design and build high-impact digital tools—like the Heat & Chill Calculator and Cross-Reference Tool—that empower thousands of pool professionals across North America. My role involves end-to-end product design, from wireframing intuitive flows to implementing them with scalable Next.js architectures. I also drive the digital brand evolution through a unified Design System that ensures consistency across all customer touchpoints.
